To understand the complex Earth System requires an integrated observational strategy and infrastructure to record key diagnostic features of its dynamics. Accordingly, this infrastructure must include multidisciplinary monitoring and instruments and observations that are geographically distributed. The project will create a single sustainable, permanent and distributed infrastructure, integrating land-based geophysical monitoring networks, local observatories (including permanent in-situ and volcano observatories) and experimental laboratories in Europe. Slovenia is in preparatory phase associate country. Our principal goal is formation of consortium for slovene participating organizations, accivement of support from the state of Slovenia and active participation in project work. In 2011 we received the support letter from Republic of Slovenia, Ministry for Higher Education, Science and Technology for participation of slovene organizations in the project.
