ZRC SAZU is leading institution of the project »DEVELOPMENT OF RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS OF THE SLOVENIAN DEVELOPMENT OF RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURE SPACE – RI-SI-EPOS«. Participating partners are: Geološki Zavod Slovenije, Univerza v Ljubljani FGG and Inštitut Jožef Stefan. Contract number C3330-19-952056 between ZRC SAZU and MIZŠ was signed on 22.7.2019.

The operation is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.  This operation is being implemented within the framework of the Operational Programme for the Implementation of the European Cohesion Policy 2014-2020, under Priority Axis 1: "International competitiveness of research, innovation and technological development in line with smart specialization for greater competitiveness and greening of the economy"; Priority Investment 1.1: "Strengthening infrastructure for research and innovation and the capacity to develop excellence in this area, as well as to promote competent centers, especially those of European importance"; Specific Objective 1.1.1: "Effective use of research infrastructure and development of knowledge/competences for better national and international cooperation in the Knowledge Triangle".

Operation is part of »Načrt razvojnih programov« (NRP) no. 3330-19-1142. EU contribution is 80%.

    4th of November 2020 - Jurij Pahor with co-author Martina Čarman (ARSO, Urad za seizmologijo) participated at teleconference »ORFEUS + EPOS SP + AdriaArray Virtual Workshop« with presentation about Seismological network of the Republic of Slovenia and introduced cooperation with ZRC SAZU and organization of the new seismological stations within RI-SI-EPOS in Eastern Cohesion Region.

  • Seismological data of very broadband seismological station at Bojanci (Bela krajina) at the ARSO location with the name BOJS are transfered to the ORFEUS data base since 3 September 2020,

    Very broadband seismological station ((Nanometrics) at Bojanci (BOJS, Bela krajina) -Eastern cohesion region, detected strong earthquake in Croatia (Petrinja 29.12.2020, ML = 6.2).

  • 28 January 2021 – participation at regular annual meeting SZGG »Research from the field of geophysics and geodesy 2020« (teleconference):

  • February 2021 – Analysis of earthquakes near Petrinja in Croatia in December 2020 with the help of RI-SI-EPOS seismic network SE of Postojna (pdf) prepared by dr. Martina Čarman (ARSO).

  • 22 March 2021 - ARSO Seismology Office analyzed the seismic data on the anniversary of  the strong EQ near Zagreb ob 22 March 2020. Data from very broadband seismic station Bojanci (BOJS) belonging to RI-SI-EPOS are also included.
